  Portillos is a Chicago staple, just try to avoid it on a Saturday. The Chicago my entire life and have rarely ever gone to Portillo's. I've maybe been here about four or five times in my entire life and this time was not great. It's never really that great to be honest it's always sort of okay. The time it took me to get three cheeseburgers and a salad was an hour and a half. It took them about 50 minutes to get my three cheeseburgers ready which I understood because it's Portillo's on a Saturday like I said but when they told me that my wait would be extended due to the fact that they didn't have cake for the cake slices that I had ordered for my niece and nephew. I thought it would take 5 maybe 10 more minutes because they assured me that all they had to do was Ice the. That took an extra 35 minutes to happen, this is after my order had already been completed so by the time I got all my food was lukewarm burgers were extra dry and the cake wasn't even that great. What save the day was the fact that we were able to have a couple beers while we waited although they were in Compton or anything that was pretty great. Also the manager on duty was extremely apologetic and took care of are our cakes till that brought me up to a 3-star review. Not so much for the food because it is what I expected but due to the excellent service of the very fatigued young lady that was managing this entire store solo.
